Accessibility in our venues
Espoo
Kino Tapiola
Address: Mäntyviita 2, 02110 Espoo
Entrance: Kino Tapiola is fully accessible. The entrance, interior spaces, and cinema auditorium are easily accessible with a wheelchair, rollator, or stroller.
Parking: The nearest accessible parking spaces are located in front of the Tapiola swimming hall, approximately 150 meters from Kino Tapiola.
Auditorium: Kino Tapiola has 4 wheelchair spaces located at the ends of the rows. Espoo Ciné screenings do not have assigned seating, so you are free to choose any available end-of-row seat. After the film, exit is via an accessible rear door leading to Menninkäisentie.
Note: In fully booked Espoo Ciné screenings, moving to a regular seat may not be possible. Please let us know in advance if you would like a standard seat reserved to which you can transfer with assistance. In that case, email us at office@espoocine.fi.
Induction Loop: The auditorium is equipped with an induction loop system, with the best reception near the edges of the room.
Restrooms: One of the two restrooms in the lobby is accessible.
Assistance Dogs: Assistance dogs are warmly welcome!

Espoon Kulttuurikeskus, Louhisali
Address: Kulttuuriaukio 2, 02100 Espoo
Entrance: The main entrance of the Cultural Center is accessible, and one of the entrance doors opens automatically.
Parking: In front of the main entrance at ‘Kulttuuriaukio’, there are two accessible parking spaces. There are also paid accessible parking spaces nearby on Tapionaukio square and in the parking hall.
Louhisali: Wheelchair seating is in the upper part of the hall. NOTE! Accessible entry to Louhi Hall is through the staff areas, with assistance from the lobby service staff.
Elevators: There are elevators in the lobby and near Tapiola Hall, providing access to upper floors. Assistance can be requested from the lobby services and Espoo Ciné staff if needed.
Induction loop: Both Tapiolasali and Louhisali are equipped with induction loops, with coverage extending to the central area of the halls. For detailed information, contact the lobby services staff.
Restrooms: The Cultural Center has accessible restroom facilities. The most spacious restroom is located near the cloakroom area of the concert hall.
There is one wheelchair available at the Cultural Center. It can be borrowed from the lobby services in the lower lobby of the Cultural Center. It's recommended to confirm the availability of the wheelchair in advance by contacting the lobby services at +358 9 81657200.
Finnkino Sello
Address: Kauppakeskus Sello, Ratsukatu 3, 02600 Espoo
Cinemas: Espoo Ciné films are screened in halls 4 and 5. Wheelchair seats are located in the front rows, in the center, in all halls.
Induction loop: NB! There are no induction loops available at Finnkino Sello.
Parking: The closest accessible parking spaces can be found by entering the parking hall from the Ratsukatu side (accessible spaces next to Lidl's elevators). By using the elevators on the Ratsukatu side, you can directly access the store level (2nd floor) and the cinema level (3rd floor).
Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are located on the cinema level, near the other restrooms (1 restroom), and behind the gourmet store (1 restroom).
Finnkino Omena
Address: Kauppakeskus Iso Omena, Piispansilta 11, 02230 Espoo
Cinemas: Espoo Ciné films are screened in halls 4, 6, and 7. Wheelchair seats are available in the front rows in all halls. All halls have accessible entry for wheelchair users.
Induction loop: All halls (4, 6 and 7) have induction loops.
Restrooms: An accessible restroom is located on the restroom level, near the other restrooms.
Cinema Sheryl, Marsio
Address: Otakaari 2, 02150 Espoo
Cinema Sheryl is located in the Marsio building on the Aalto University campus in Otaniemi. The venue has wheelchair spaces.
WeeGee Exhibition Centre (outdoor screening)
Address: Ahertajantie 5, 02100 Espoo
The WeeGee summer yard at the main entrance is softened with grass matting, so be sure to bring a picnic blanket! The yard area is accessible (more information). Restrooms are located indoors inside the exhibition center. There are 4 accessible parking spaces, located to the left of the main entrance to Exhibition Centre WeeGee.
Museo Leikki
Address: Ahertajantie 3, 02100 Espoo
Entry: Barrier-Free Entrance: The information desk and ticket office are located in the building's lobby at street level. Accessible taxis can drop off and pick up museum visitors at the main entrance. A wheelchair and walker are available for loan from the coat-check area. Outdoor strollers should be left outside the museum, but indoor strollers can be borrowed from the museum.
Restrooms: Restrooms are located on the ground floor behind the coat racks. The facilities are accessible. There is also a gender-neutral restroom. The accessible restrooms include changing tables, and low-height toilets for children.
Helsinki
Cinema Orion
Address: Eerikinkatu 15, 00100 Helsinki
Cinema Orion is not accessible. To ensure smooth service, kindly inform in advance via email if you are attending a screening with a wheelchair: lipunmyynti@cinemaorion.fi.
Entry to the hall: The theater has 2 wheelchair seats located in the balcony, which can be accessed via the stairwell of the building on the Eerikinkatu side.
Access to the balcony is provided by two wheelchair ramps. The lower ramp is 180 cm long and steep (approximately 32 degrees incline), so we recommend arriving with an assistant. The upper ramp is 150 cm long and has a 21-degree incline. The ramps' width is 70 cm. Unfortunately, the ramps are not suitable for electric wheelchairs.
Induction loop: NB! Cinema Orion does not have induction loops.
Restrooms: Please note that the restrooms in the lobby area are not accessible.

Gilda

Entrance: The entrance to the cinema and the ticket office are located on the 1st floor.
Access between floors: The entrance to the cinema and the ticket office are located on the 1st floor. The screening rooms are located on the ground floor, which is accessible by elevator. All screening rooms have barrier-free access, and there are designated seats for people with disabilities. These seats are located in the back row of each screening room.
Kino Konepaja
Address: Konepajanpasaasi, 00510 Helsinki
Entrance: Kino Konepaja is accessible, and the entrance is located at Konepajanpasaasi, 00510 Helsinki. Please note that the area has some construction and uneven surfaces.
Auditoriums: The cinema hall and bar are accessible directly from the lobby. There are 2 wheelchair spaces located in the front row of the auditorium.
Induction Loop: The cinema is equipped with an induction loop system, which functions best in row 4.
Restrooms: Kino Konepaja’s accessible restroom is located in the same area as the other toilet stalls.
Assistance Dogs: Customers have the right to bring a guide or assistance dog to the screening.
Vantaa
Kino Myyri
Address: Kinorinne 6, 01600 Vantaa
Entrance: Our exterior doors do not open automatically, but our staff will be happy to assist you at the door. The nearest parking spaces are located on Punamultapolku, just a few dozen meters from Kino Myyri.
Theatre: The theatre lobby is spacious. The ticket counter is approximately 90 cm high. There are three (3) wheelchair spaces located in the back row of the auditorium. If you need a wheelchair space, we recommend booking in advance by phone or email.
Restrooms: An accessible restroom is available in the lobby area. It is also equipped with a changing table.
Induction Loop Systems
The following Espoo Ciné screening venues are equipped with an induction loop system:
Kino Tapiola – Best reception near the edges of the auditorium.
Espoo Cultural Centre – Coverage is best in the center section of the hall. For more details, please ask the front desk staff.
Finnkino Omena – All auditoriums used by Espoo Ciné are equipped with an induction loop.
Kino Konepaja – The induction loop functions in row 4.
Descriptive subtitles & Audio Description
Some screenings have descriptive subtitles for the d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing. Information about these can be found on the movie presentation pages here.
A version with audio description is produced for all domestic distribution films for the visually impaired. The free MovieReading app is used for audio description of films and is available from the app store for both Android and iOS devices.
