Crip Ciné visits KAMU Junior 1

Crip Ciné brings documentaries and fiction films depicting the lives of disabled people to the big screen, as well as works by disabled filmmakers that challenge stereotypes surrounding disability. The themed programme, which has been part of Espoo Ciné for five years, now continues with free pop-up screenings on the Crip Ciné kylässä tour, which this year also includes, for the first time, Crip Ciné kylässä Junior, aimed at children. To celebrate the festival, we are visiting Espoo City Museum KAMU at WeeGee, where all four Crip Ciné kylässä programmes will be screened. The screenings are part of Espoo City Museum KAMU’s Free Friday programme.

The following films will be shown at the screening:

Ezra Verbist: Jools (Just Jools, Belgium 2025; documentary, running time 17 min, in Dutch)
Jools gets to fulfil their dream of dancing after meeting an understanding dance teacher.

Tyro Heath: Happy Snaps (United Kingdom 2024; fiction, running time 12 min, in English)
Two friends spend a fun day together, but one of them is worried about what the future holds.

Øyvind Aamli: Being Someone Else (Norway, United Kingdom 2021; documentary, running time 9 min, in English)
Imogen dresses up as different characters to better understand both herself and others.
