Astrid and her father had shared a dream: to assemble a string quartet playing real Stradivarius instruments. When her father dies, Astrid is ready to do anything to achieve their dream. The best instruments require the best composition and the best players. When the assembled quartet can’t find their boogie, Astrid invokes the composer of the piece to come in and try to resolve the dissonance.
The journey towards harmony goes through chaos, quarrelling, and misunderstandings. The ever-more fluid orchestral rehearsals are punctuated by discussions within the group, which spring from petty disputes towards poignant reflections on music, life and love.
