After her professional career as a mixed martial artist, Sarah leaves Austria to train three sisters from a wealthy family in Jordan. She is offered a luxury suite in a high-rise hotel and chauffeured daily to the family's ostentatious mansion, where she works with the young women. Cut off from the outside world and under constant surveillance, the sisters live in a state of quiet restriction. The reserved Sarah becomes their chaperone—and their trusted link to the outside world.

Kurdish-Austrian filmmaker Kurdwin Ayub’s Moon explores women's longing for freedom and the clash of cultures through an outsider’s perspective. The film portrays the everyday reality of life in a patriarchal household and society with a fresh and nuanced approach.

Performance artist Florence Holzinger shines in the role of Sarah. Awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Locarno Film Festival, Moon delves into themes of women’s empowerment—and their powerlessness—in a culture where traditional male attitudes remain deeply entrenched.
