Apply to Volunteer for the 2026 Festival!
<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Apply for a variety of roles and help create a unique festival atmosphere. As a volunteer, you’ll help keep the most delightful festival of the summer running smoothly. In return, you’ll be able to enjoy festival films free of charge outside your shifts \u2013 while gaining new experiences and making new friends!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As compensation for volunteering, you’ll receive a meal for each day you work, as well as a staff pass granting access to most festival screenings. After the festival, a volunteer celebration will also be held in early September, where all volunteers are welcome to enjoy good company, food, and a sauna evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To receive these volunteer benefits, you’ll commit to working approximately 30 hours in total, which may be divided, for example, into five six-hour shifts. Longer shifts can be arranged separately where necessary. Depending on the role, shifts may take place both before and during the festival. During the festival, shifts range from Junior Cin\u00e9 morning duties to Espoo Cin\u00e9 evening screenings. Depending on the position, opportunities are available in Tapiola, Matinkyl\u00e4, Lepp\u00e4vaara and central Helsinki. Full training is provided for all roles. Volunteer roles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LEAD VOLUNTEER<\/strong> | Would you like to take on more responsibility during the festival? If you have previous experience with festivals, event production, the arts and culture field, or working at Espoo Cin\u00e9 (as a volunteer) \u2013 or if you\u2019re motivated to gain more experience at film festivals \u2013 this role could be for you! As a lead volunteer, you\u2019ll be the first contact for other volunteers, such as ticket sellers, ushers, or drivers. You will work in close contact with Espoo Cin\u00e9’s volunteer coordinator. Social skills, swiftness, and the ability to adapt to new situations are considered an advantage. In your application, don\u2019t hesitate to share your skills and wishes with us! You are also welcome to contact us by email (office@espoocine.fi<\/a>) in spring 2026, even before the volunteer applications open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TICKET SALES <\/strong>| Ticket sellers sell tickets to film screenings, as well as festival products during the presales. Previous sales or customer service experience is an advantage, but all sellers are of course trained for the work by the team leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THEATRE USHER <\/strong>| The tasks include ticket checking, guiding the audience, preparing presentations, working with projectionists, supervising screenings and cleaning the theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EVENT ASSISTANCE AND OTHER PRODUCTION HELP<\/strong> | Your tasks may include assisting at side events, light load-in\/out, and helping with the decoration and dismantling of festival venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DISTRIBUTION <\/strong>| Help is always required with the distribution of posters, magazines and schedules before the festival. If you are interested in working before the festival starts, this is the assignment for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOCIAL MEDIA <\/strong>| Come spread the festival atmosphere through social media, and report live from different events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY <\/strong>| This assignment is for you, if you are good with a camera and can work independently. Gigs can vary from photographing events to taking guest portraits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JUNIOR CIN\u00c9 AID <\/strong>| Cheery helpers are always needed to take care of the screenings for kids and teenagers, help classes and aid in preparing the seminar. The work takes place in the morning and daytime on weekdays. NOTE! Junior Cin\u00e9 will continue after Espoo Cin\u00e9 ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DRIVERS <\/strong>| We require drivers before, during and after the festival. Transport is needed for both people and things.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
