There\u2019s Always Tomorrow is one of the standout Italian films of recent years! Known primarily as a television star and comedic actress, Paola Cortellesi surprised everyone with her directorial debut, which became the most-watched and beloved Italian film of the year. This black-and-white family drama, set in a war-torn, recovering Rome, is anything but what it sounds like. Get ready for a moving, bold, heart-wrenching, empathetic, and unforgettable cinematic experience!<\/p>\n

Paola Cortellesi’s debut as a director has earned acclaim, with the director herself taking the lead role. This dramedy, set in 1940s Italy, beautifully and powerfully portrays the societal shifts that allowed women’s voices to be heard after World War II. In the story, a Roman mother toils away invisibly. Her husband is abusive, but a kind-hearted former lover who works as a mechanic brings a sense of warmth and relief to her fear-filled existence.
