Last Night of Amore

The densely atmospheric and strikingly shot Italian thriller takes place in Milan. It tells the story of Franco Amore, a low-paid police officer who has served honorably for 35 years, and is brilliantly played by the hottest Italian star of the moment, Pierfrancesco Favino. Amore is about to retire and the wife (Linda Caridi) has secretly organized a going away party for her husband filled with friends. However, Amore's last night as a police officer is different than anyone could have expected, and the night turns out to be long and eventful. Gasoline burns, and there will be corpses. Amore is on a thin line between law and crime, and as the morning dawns, his whole life has been turned upside down.
