Till the end of the night is a multi-layered thriller, staying true to director Christoph Hochhäusler's style, where an atypical undercover police officer and a parolee former convict set a trap for a Berlin crime boss in a local dance studio. Robert and Leni - one gay, the other trans woman - find a common rhythm on the dance floor, and the mission seems easy for a moment until everything turns upside down, and no one knows who is ensnaring whom. Till the End of the Night premiered at the Berlinale, where Thea Ehre, who played a supporting role, was awarded the Silver Bear for Best Supporting Actress.
