Oasis

Strong-willed Maria arrives to live in an institution for people with mental disabilities. She soon makes friends with her equally hot-tempered roommate Dragana. When the two realise that they are both in love with selectively mute and withdrawn Robert, the ensuing fiery love triangle quickly reaches dangerous measures to win him over.

Oasis is a delicate and harrowing depiction of adolescence, dreams, and the ever-brewing longing for independence, love, and self-determination in an institutional life low in stimulus and dictated by strict external rules. It is an impactful story of the persistent efforts of people in highly vulnerable positions to maintain any sense of control over their own, externally limited, realities.
