Hunters on a White Field
Jakt
Screenings
Alex, Greger, and Henrik take a trip deep into the Swedish wilderness to spend a long weekend hunting birds and big game. First-timer Alex feels himself the odd one out, not only due to his lack of experience but also because of his differing ethnic background. To complicate matters further, Greger is Alex’s superior at work, and Henrik, the acting host of the party, seems quite the unpredictable personality. Doing his best not to step on the toes of his peers, Alex struggles to adopt their enthusiasm, which mixes together theatrical masculinity, worship of ancient heroes, and a philosophy of nature based equally on harmony and mastery. As the hunt continues, the hunting mania of Greger and Henrik starts to get a hold of Alex, who goes on to showcase his talent in handling a shotgun. With a rising sense of rivalry and a newfound connection with nature, the men decide to stay for a few more days, only to discover that something in the woods has changed.
