Danish screenwriter-director Jeanette Nordahl will visit Espoo Ciné with her new film Beginnings, accompanied by lead actor David Dencik.
Nordahl is known for the film Wildland and the TV series The Dreamer – Becoming Karen Blixen. David Dencik on the other hand is a Guldbagge Award-winning actor, whose most internationally recognized films include The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and 007: No Time to Die.
In Beginnings, Ane suffers a medical episode in the middle of a separation, forcing her and her husband Thomas to stay together and postpone telling their children about the breakup. As a result of the incident, a new reality opens up to them. The film also features Trine Dyrholm and Johanne Louise Schmidt in leading roles.
In addition to Nordahl and Dencik, this year Espoo Ciné will also welcome Norwegian actor Tayo Cittadella Jacobsen (Love), along with numerous Finnish filmmakers.
The full Espoo Ciné festival program will be announced next Thursday, July 31.
