DOC LOUNGE ESPOO starts in February

Starting February 2022 Espoo Ciné will organize Doc Lounge events in the capital area, bringing interesting and controversial documentary films to screens in cinemas and beyond. The series kicks off by a film already seen at Espoo Ciné festival, the Georgian Salomé Jashi’s Taming the Garden (in picture) that will be screened in Kino Tapiola Tuesday Feb 15th 18.00. Doc Lounge events always include additional program. Altogether four films will be screened in the spring. Tickets are now on sale at the film page and the direct link to the store is here.

What is Doc Lounge?

Doc Lounge is a concept that grasps the trends of the time and takes them up to discussion for those who are hungry for documentaries. Doc Lounge shows international acclaimed documentary films and introduces speakers, live bands, DJs, performance artists, exhibitions or whatever may suit the evening's theme, and often the filmmaker participates in the discussion - over Skype or in person.

The events are mainly held in English as the film subtitles and interviews with directors are in English.
