The inaugural Poster Ciné competition celebrates domestic film poster art

The inaugural Poster Ciné competition celebrates domestic film poster art for the first time!

Espoo Ciné is launching a new film poster competition, Poster Ciné. The winning poster will be chosen by the Graphic Designer of the Year 2023, Tomi Leppänen. The audience will also have the opportunity to select their own favorites at the exhibition held at Espoo Cultural Centre from August 18th to 22nd. The winners will be announced at the beginning of the Finnish Gala Premiere Light light light by Inari Niemi, at Louhisali in Espoo Cultural Centre on August 23rd, 2023.

"The idea for the poster competition came from Manna Katajisto, a member of the Espoo Ciné board. We want to highlight Finnish film poster art and decided to organize a competition that celebrates the creators of these posters," says Laura Laaksonen, the festival's executive director.

The competition finalists are films that premiered during the last year.
