Inside My Heart is a dramatic and artistically ambitious film about performance artists. Director Saskia Boddeke follows the Dutch KamaK theater group, formed by actors with intellectual disabilities. The group is rehearsing a baroque opera inspired play Furia, built around the seven deadly sins. The opera oozes both lust and rage, and KamaK's expressive power shines through in the painterly scenes that represent the finished performance. At the same time, Boddeke sensitively and fluidly captures the backstage turmoil during rehearsals. Real-life emotions and art can sometimes blur, but the creative community supports the artists with its powerful energy.

The film had its world premiere at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), and has since been featured at festivals focusing on cinematic achievements, such as the Camerimage Festival in Poland, as well as the Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival.
