Screenings

Under immense pressure, a daughter searching for her direction and a father adept at avoiding reality meet after a long time during a summer night at the Seinäjoki Tango Festival. Siiri, who has returned to her hometown, is no longer her father's little butterfly but a career woman. She works as a special assistant to the quick-tempered Minister of Economic Affairs (Leea Klemola), alongside her highly competent colleague (Alex Anton). Her father, a former tango prince, is still searching for anchors in his life. Both are speeding ahead, but in different ways—and inevitably heading for a crash. During one summer weekend, things spiral out of control. Eventually, the facades crumble as the tango plays under the midnight sun.

In this weekend's frantic race, encounters also include a sensitive phone service salesperson (Miro Lopperi), a domineering car dealer (Hannu-Pekka Björkman), a charmingly shy health center doctor (Samuli Niittymäki), and a tango couple (Jarkko Pajunen and Katja Küttner) chasing the highlights of their lives.
