Volunteering is a fun way to meet new people and enjoy the festival atmosphere behind the scenes!
The next Espoo Ciné Festival will take place from 22 to 31 August, and this year's Junior Ciné will be held between 26 August and 12 September, 2025. Applications are now open!
As compensation for volunteering, you will receive a meal for each working day and a staff pass that allows you to watch most of the festival films outside your shifts.
To receive volunteer benefits, you commit to approximately 30 hours of work, which could be divided into, for example, five six-hour shifts. If needed, longer shifts can be arranged separately. Depending on the role, shifts may take place both before and during the festival. During the festival, shifts range from Junior Ciné’s morning shifts to Espoo Ciné’s evening shifts. Depending on the tasks, shifts are available in Tapiola, Matinkylä, Leppävaara, and central Helsinki. Training will be provided for all tasks.
