Screenings
"La Fraise" ('Strawberry') and "Paulo," a father and son, are on a jewelry store heist. However, their well-planned getaway threatens to unravel right from the start when their improperly parked getaway car is towed during the robbery. At the same time and in the same place, a bus is about to leave for a summer camp for people with disabilities, as they’re waiting for the last camper to arrive. Paulo is mistakenly thought to be the missing camper, and his father convinces the staff he’s there as his assistant. Soon, the robbers find themselves on the bus, heading toward the life-changing summer camp.
A Little Something Extra became one of France's biggest hits of the past year. Directed, written, and starring comedian Artus – who was previously known mainly from TV – his debut feature film won the hearts of French audiences in a special way, attracting nearly 11 million viewers in its home country alone! Most of the film’s cast is made up of disabled individuals, many of whom are acting for the first time in front of a camera. Perhaps the film’s greatest charm lies in the fresh, authentic energy brought by these first-time actors.
